The owners of this early twentieth century beauty love their home and it's neighborhood.

 

Although quaint and with many nostalgic features the kitchen wasn't conducive to the gourment style cooking and entertaining they enjoy.

Additionally, with the garage in the back, their most used entry was through a cramped space that serviced both the stairwell to the basement and the kitchen.

The dream - an open kitchen that could accommodate updated appliances, two ovens, a prep sink and even a guest or two.

By opening up the small breakfast nook and bumping out the back several feet, a more welcoming entrance and their dream kitchen became realities.
