"IT'S THE FEELING ... EVERYTIME YOU ENTER THE ROOM"
KITSAP RETREAT
Sited on a forested bluff with spectacular views  of Puget Sound and the city of Seattle the property includes a nine hole golf course. Originally a large "A" frame vacation home, additions over the years had expanded the footprint but left the layout choppy and with no architectural sensibility.

Problematic were small disconnected rooms, long dark hallways and low ceilings. The main entrance was poorly located and the last renovations were reminiscent of the '70's.

The new owners loved the site, golf course and the square footage the house provided, but purchased with a total remodel in mind.

Most of the interior walls were removed. The teepee beams (as they were aptly christened) and two stone fireplaces were salvaged and played well with the western lodge theme the clients wanted.  A two story loggia was added at the back to increase flow and open the structure to the gardens and golf course.

Intended for use as a retreat for prospective clients amenities included steam and sauna rooms, a massage room and media room.
